Candidate and lead campaigner for Kew Ward

Hello, My name is Laura Nuttall and I will be standing as the Conservative candidate in Kew Ward at the local elections in May 2022.

I have lived in Southport for 25 years and worked for 22 years at Liverpool University as a Technical manager in Biosciences . A job which I loved as it enabled me to interact with people at all levels and deal with the numerous complex problems associated with managing research and teaching laboratories. I took early (well just early) retirement 9 years ago which has enabled me spend a lot more time with my grandchildren and become more actively involved in campaigning for Southport..

I was also a member of the Territorial Army, R signals (SSgt) many years ago and received a Lord Lieutenants Certificate for outstanding service.

I enjoy challenges and have never shied away from giving anything a go – when younger that would have included orienteering, canoeing, parachuting but now its gardening, quizzes, walking , litter picking and charity work when I can.

I believe we are fortunate to live in such beautiful town which is in need of some TLC. I want to listen and serve the people of this town to find out what is important to them and get people actively involved in making this town better.

I am keen to ensure that Southport remains a pleasant and safe place to live work and enjoy. A place to be proud of.

I stood as a candidate in 2021 local elections for Kew ward unfortunately losing by just 160 votes

I will though be standing again as a candidate for Kew Ward in the Local elections May 2022 and will actively campaign for the residents of this town.

I hope that I can count on your support and if you would like any further information or would like to get involved with our campaign, then please get in touch.
