Councillor Sir Ron Watson CBE (Dukes Ward)

Sir Ron Watson CBE is a Dukes Ward councillor. He lives in the ward and is a familiar face to local residents and businesses.

Sir Ron recently said, 'The past period with the pandemic has certainly brought many more Local Government enquiries than usual but I have been very pleased to do what I can to help Dukes Ward residents with a range of issues including the cycle lanes, planning applications, road repairs, overhanging trees and have given particular attention to environmental improvements and cleansing in our principal Town Centre areas.

I am also working with our MP, Damien Moore, to ensure that in view of the £37.5m Southport has been allocated by the Conservative Government, we do seek to improve many areas of the Town and encourage and assist the local business community.

I hope that residents will not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any assistance to them with any Sefton Council matters that arise in their area.'
